Xi’an Jiaotong University Boundless Classroom - XJTU International Summer School (XJTISS)
Preview of Special Lectures on Dissemination and Implementation Science Series
From August 3 to August 7, 2026, Xi’an Jiaotong University Boundless Classroom “XJTU Global” International Summer School (XJTISS) will host a series of special lectures on Dissemination and Implementation Science (D&I) with online participation available exclusively for attendees outside mainland China. The translation of research evidence into routine practice presents a series of complex challenges, which call for stronger research-practice partnerships and cross-national collaboration. To address these needs, this lecture series integrates cutting-edge international theories with Chinese local practices. Coinciding with the launch of the Chinese edition of Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health: Translating Science to Practice (3rd Edition), the series features overseas scholars including contributors to the original volume and leading domestic scholars from the translation team as speakers, building an academic exchange platform for dissemination and implementation science between China and the world. It is open to faculty, students, researchers and practitioners from universities at home and abroad, as well as professionals in public health, social work and related fields, providing a systematic and comprehensive academic exchange experience.

The lecture system comprehensively covers the full spectrum of D&I, including disciplinary origins, theoretical frameworks, research methods, practical cases, and academic development, integrating both international frontiers and Chinese local practices. Teaching assistant-led tutorials and Q&A sessions are arranged to help participants quickly master core knowledge and skills. Both researchers and practitioners will gain substantial insights through participation in this lecture series.
To facilitate participants’ access to lecture information and promote academic exchange, the organizer has established a QQ group (group number: 1020639199) as the official platform for information release and interaction. After successful registration, participants can obtain the latest lecture updates and relevant academic materials through this group, and share learning experiences with other participants. The lectures are expected to be broadcast live via Zoom. Eligible overseas participants may attend remotely through this platform. Online participants are required to download, install, and test the Zoom application on their personal devices prior to the commencement of the seminar. Detailed online access information will be sent via email to successfully registered overseas participants.
We warmly invite all those interested in dissemination and implementation science to actively participate and jointly explore the pathways of localized development of D&I science in China.
